Blackstonia perfoliata
Family : Gentianaceae
Yellow-wort

On bare and open sites, usually with a basic substrate. The plant was found to be much more abundant in the city than had been anticipated and, in some parts of the town, is one of the dominant taxa of bare sites. Crackles (1990) records it for the dock areas east of the River Hull only. Almost certainly increasing.
