Very common in waste places, especially in the centre and east of the City. This plant has increased very rapidly in the last few years. Although recorded on King George Dock in 1935 (Wilson 1938), Crackles still regards it as "uncommon" in 1990 and cites only a few recent records. Recorded in Nottingham for similar sites (Shepherd 1998).
