Usually only in the larger land drains, particularly the Holderness Drain where it is abundant. It also grows, as an introduction, in the wildlife pond in Pickering Park [TA 05 27].

J F Robinson 1902: "... Spring dyke, Hull where it still grows". Also mentions Dunswell and Sutton.
