This was one of the more significant finds of the project. The fern had been thought to be extinct in the vice-county until a small colony was found on a garden wall in [TA 06 31]. The same street had colonies of the scarce Asplenium adiantum-nigrum (Black Spleenwort) as well as Phyllitis scolopendrium (Hart's-tongue) and some small Dryopteris sp. The colony currently contains about 10 small plants distributed on either side of the low wall.
