Rumex conglomeratus
Family : Polygonaceae
Clustered Dock
67/119 : Native
This is probably one of the few plants which has been OVER recorded. Tradition among local naturalists has been that this is the common "sharp leaved dock" of the area. Published distribution data has tended to support this view, although doubts were raised by Crackles (1990). Careful examination of tepals and an infusion of "alien" botanists has shown that R. sanguineus is more frequent. Rumex conglomeratus is usually to be found in ditches.
