Family : Brassicaceae
Cuckooflower

Still fairly frequent in suitable (and some not so suitable) damp grassy places. The plant seems to be able to survive for many years in a leafy state producing spectacular and unexpected carpets of flowers when a damp spring prevents early mowing.

J F Robinson 1902: "Very common."
